Educational Services
Dr. Scarf assesses the student’s psychoeducational abilities and makes recommendations to facilitate learning and overall school functioning. Comprehensive evaluation includes a school observation to provide a clear picture of the student’s abilities and needs in the classroom and with peers. Interviews with parents and teachers who interact with the student on a daily basis are also completed. The following diagnoses can contribute to a student’s inefficient or decline in academic achievement:
- Attention Deficit Disorder – Hyperactive/Impulsive Presentation
- Attention Deficit Disorder – Inattentive Presentation
- Attention Deficit Disorder – Combined Presentation
- Auditory Processing Problems
- Specific Learning Disorder – with impairment in Reading
- Specific Learning Disorder – with impairment in Written Expression
- Specific Learning Disorder – with impairment in Mathematics
- Language Disorder
- Speech Sound Disorder
- Social Communication Disorder
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Emotional Disorders including Depression and Anxiety
Dr. Scarf also conducts Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) for school districts in the Southern California area.
